home > mineral cosmetics > face > how to select a foundation shade

Minerals harmonize with various women’s undertones, making mineral makeup very forgiving.
Unlike  traditional cosmetics, where unsightly dark lines at the jaw and hairlines are visible, mineral makeup blends flawlessly — one shade can work for several different skin tones.

Your neck is considered a “truer” color — determine a shade that seamlessly blends your face and neck.
If you have been tanning, move to a darker foundation or add a little bronzer to create extra warmth to the skin. For better accuracy, always use natural light.
To determine your undertone, look at the inside of your forearm (in natural light).
A good indicator will be identified as yellow, green, peach or pink. You can also hold your arm next to a piece of white paper. If your arm appears to be pink, most likely your undertone is pink/peach. If it is yellow/green, it is apt to be golden/yellow/olive/deep.

97% of women have a warm
(yellow, peach or olive) complexion.
Only 3% of the population has a
pink or cool complexion.
